BackStory

A bi-monthly evening of true stories, poetry, and flights of fancy.

Each BackStory begins with a title — a classic play or film — and ends somewhere unexpected.

Writers use that title as a jumping-off point. They may tell a personal story sparked by its themes. They may write in the voice of a character and reveal what happened before the curtain rose. Or they may simply riff on the words themselves. Whatever the approach, BackStory has been — consistently — one of the most fascinating and eclectic evenings the Victory has to offer.
