The Victory Theatre Center has been built — and kept alive — by people who love theatre. From the very beginning, this was a community effort. If you want to be part of something that matters, there is a place for you here.
Your contributions of time and energy keep the arts alive. Whatever your background, whatever your schedule, there is a role that fits.
Please note: All volunteer opportunities are unpaid. Any paid positions are listed separately. This form is for volunteer interest only and is not a job application or a place to submit acting materials. The Victory Theatre Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
WHERE YOU CAN HELP
FRONT OF HOUSE / AUDIENCE EXPERIENCE
Support the patron experience on performance nights. House managers and front-of-house volunteers are the face of the Victory — welcoming audiences, coordinating the lobby, and making sure every guest has a smooth and memorable evening. Specific roles include ushering, box office support, and concessions and merchandise.
PRODUCTION / BACKSTAGE
Help bring productions to life from behind the scenes. Backstage volunteers assist with the physical and technical demands of theatre — from load-ins and set construction to props, costumes, and strike. Lighting and sound support is available for those with experience.
SCRIPT COVERAGE
We are currently actively seeking this. The Victory is looking for readers with experience writing script coverage for plays. This is meaningful work — you’ll be part of the process by which new voices are heard and new works are developed. If you don’t have experience but are willing to learn, we want to hear from you too.
MARKETING / OUTREACH
Help spread the word about what’s happening at the Victory. Volunteers contribute by writing newsletters and blog posts, joining the street team for flyering and posting, and supporting community outreach efforts.
EVENTS & COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
Be part of the moments that bring the community together — workshops, talkbacks, special events, and fundraisers. If you enjoy people and want to be part of the social fabric of the theatre, this is a great fit.
DEVELOPMENT / FUNDRAISING
Help sustain the mission. Development volunteers support donation campaigns, assist with event planning, and help with sponsorship outreach. If you have a background in development, fundraising, or nonprofit work, your experience would be enormously valuable.
ADMINISTRATIVE / OFFICE
Keep the day-to-day running smoothly. Office volunteers assist with data entry, organization, general projects, and donor and outreach support. Detail-oriented, dependable, and willing — that’s all it takes.
FACILITIES / OPERATIONS
The Victory is our home — and homes need care. Facilities volunteers help with cleaning, general maintenance, resetting spaces between rehearsals and performances, and light repairs. If you’re hands-on and take pride in leaving a space better than you found it, we’d love your help.
CREATIVE SKILLS
Do you have a skill you’d love to put to use in a creative community? We welcome volunteers with backgrounds in photography, videography, graphic design, podcasting, painting, and more.
GENERAL / FLEXIBLE SUPPORT
Not sure where you fit? Happy to jump in wherever needed? We’ll find the right spot for you. Some of our most valuable volunteers are simply people who show up ready to work — floaters, grunt workers, organizers, and doers of all kinds.

The Victory is a small theatre, which means every volunteer is genuinely felt. You won’t be lost in a crowd. You’ll know the people you’re working alongside, and you’ll see directly how your time contributes to the work on stage.
Many of our most committed community members started as volunteers. It is a real way in.
